How Proximity detection works
With ultra-wideband (UWB) radio signals, our proximity solution calculates distances between transmitter and receiver with around 20 cm/7.8 in accuracy—allowing operators to move freely while maintaining essential safe distance to the machine. The data is passed via CAN protocol, so you can integrate it into your existing control logic or safety system. By setting distinct minimum and maximum thresholds (up to 60 meters / 197 feet), your machinery can respond appropriately—such as slowing down, limiting specific functions, or triggering a complete stop.
- Precision tracking
Keeping distance measurements both accurate (~20 cm/7.8 in) and reliable, helping prevent unexpected hazards. - Seamless integration
Leverage CAN protocol to include distance data in your machine’s logic, tailoring responses to match your worksite focus and productivity goals. - Configurable safeguards
Choose whether to limit tasks, adjust speeds, or halt operations once the operator crosses into designated thresholds, all while retaining the flexibility to disable maximum range if needed.
