Our exclusive DFM (Don't Forget Me) warning device is designed to avoid the loss of your Scanreco transmitter by providing both acoustic and visual alerts when the radio transmitter is not in the truck cabin. The system consists of two parts: one attaches to the transmitter, while the other is placed in the cabin. A special magnet within the components allows them to remain connected and detect the transmitter's presence.
The DFM can be installed on both Maxi and Mini radio transmitters, with a simple installation process.
In operation, the DFM should be powered on when the parking brake is released. When the truck engine is on and the parking brake is released, the DFM checks for the transmitter:
• If detected, a green LED lights up with no sound.
• If not detected, a red LED flashes with an acoustic alarm.
The buzzer can be muted using a dedicated button, with a yellow LED indicating this status. Holding the button for 3 seconds re-enables the alarm. It is important not to mute the buzzer when removing the transmitter from the cabin to begin work if the device was powered on when the truck was running (rather than after releasing the parking brake).
