Redundant CAN bus angle sensor

FIPR-C dual-axis, redundant CAN bus angle sensor: your next safety inclination measurement solution

The FIPR-C is a biaxial, redundant CAN bus slope transducer, based on an integrated, high-accuracy accelerometer.

Due to its measurement redundancy, specialized hardware and software filters to mitigate vibration-related interference, it can be used as a safety device.

The FIPR-C measures biaxial inclination relative to the horizontal plane within a range of ±45 degrees. If the inclination exceeds this range, the value is trimmed to stay within it.

The sensor sends cyclic inclination values to the CANbus line using two different messages with separate Node IDs. It is compatible with CAN 2.0b and CANopen protocols.

Each sensor is factory calibrated at 25°C for high accuracy and features hardware and software filters to reduce vibration interference. Additionally, the device is equipped with a bubble level for immediate verification of its inclination relative to the ground.
