Load limiter for truck mounted cranes

Your all-in-one, fully configurable and safe load limiter for truck mounted cranes

The CCU-X system is a moment limiter device designed to monitor the pressures inside the lifting jacks. These pressures are continuously compared to pre-set thresholds, which represent the crane's maximum lifting capacity. These thresholds can be adjusted using a specific configurator.

The system manages various critical functions, such as controlling the allowed movements, based on the positions of the main boom, second boom, jib, and winch, which are monitored through angle sensors. It also manages the outriggers, using either digital or analog sensors, defines and controls the working areas for the crane’s operation, and performs self-diagnostics to detect any potential failures or malfunctions. The system further manages the spool sensors of the hydraulic distributor and provides direct integration with Scanreco remote controls via CAN bus.

A graphic touch screen allows the operator to view pressure levels, usage percentages, and any alarm messages in real-time.

In the event of an overload, the system will block the machine and only allow movements that return the system to a safe condition.

If the crane is equipped with a Scanreco remote control, the operator can perform the same maneuvers manually via the remote’s levers. Using the CCU-X configurator, each lever can be easily mapped to the correct maneuver without needing to adjust the remote control’s software or configuration.
