NiMH or Li-ion Batteries for the G6 Platform transmitters

G6 Platform | Batteries

The G6 Platform transmitters can be used with either NiMH or Li-ion batteries (chosen in the design stage).

Up to 50 hours non-stop usage

The G6 Transmitters run on either NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydrid) or Li-ion (Lithium-Ion) batteries (you choose when designing the unit!)

Both G6 battery types have their advantages, which let the machine developer, owner and operator choose what works best for them regarding e.g., work environment, charging cycles and capacity. Both versions can be hot swapped and recharge fully in 2-3 hours (the G6 Mini Transmitter has room for two batteries and the transmitter will run on one at the time, or leave one in while another is charging).

Product Overview

Choosing the system that is right for you

Depending on where in the world the application is intended to be used, the radio approval and frequency matters. And depending on what type of machine is part of the application and in what environment it is supposed to work, IP grading and safety classifications are of importance too. Some transmitter types were developed to work with a certain type of radio on a certain type of machine. Always begin with asking “What do I need? What are the criteria for my type of machine and on the market(s) I intend to use it?”.
