Scanreco named one of the fastest‑growing companies

Scanreco's large production plant in Lodz, Poland

From Łódź to the world

In December last year, Scanreco was recognized with 3rd place in the Łódź Province, Poland, in the prestigious Business Gazelles 2025 ranking.

Founded in Sweden over 40 years ago, we keep developing advanced control technology that combines the highest levels of functional safety and cybersecurity with strong ergonomics and the ability to precisely configure systems for more than 700 types of machines and heavy equipment. A major milestone for the company was the opening of our high‑volume factory in Poland in 2022 – an investment that enables scalable production and supports Scanreco’s rapid global expansion.

As we deliver both highly individualized solutions for local machine builders and large development programs for global OEMs. Our understanding of steering directives, tightening regulations, machine‑developer needs, and process‑driven efficiency let us combine scale with locally produced tailored solutions.

“What truly sets us apart is our understanding of both operators and machine developers struggling to meet increasingly strict regulations. We create solutions that enhance our customers’ machines and enable operators to work efficiently. To the operator, the machine is the daily hero – the remote control is simply part of the experience. Our job is to give the operator a seamless connection with our customer’s machine,” says Tomasz Karaś, Managing Director of Scanreco Poland and COO, and the man who launched the Łódź operations.

Global growth driven by personal responsibility and cross-border culture

We selected Łódź for its strategic geographic position, allowing the Polish site to act as our main logistics hub and a key element of our global supply chain. The local company employs around 200 people, primarily in quality‑ and collaboration‑driven production clusters supplying customized remote‑control solutions to OEMs in construction, forestry, agriculture, mining, and maintenance vehicles.

“Strengths that support our global success – and have fuelled our rapid growth in Poland – include our daily cross‑border collaborations at all levels, a personal feeling of responsibility, trust in the process, and a strong shared understanding of Scanreco’s culture and purpose,” says Ann‑Sofi Öhlén, VP HR at Scanreco, based in Sweden.

A strong culture program and daily international cooperation bring both Swedish influence to Poland and Polish influence to Sweden. Globally, the company has around 450 employees across sites in Stockholm (HQ), Europe, and North America.

“The managing groups of Scanreco include people from all sites – from North America to southern and northern Europe. Our employees don’t feel they work for a Swedish, Polish, or Canadian company – they feel part of a global company that was founded in Sweden 40 years ago and still carries this heritage but works every day to transcend borders.”

State-of-the-art facility enabling transparency

The modern facility near Łódź was purpose‑built for our production needs and long‑term growth ambitions. The bright, spacious building features a seamless connection between office and production, with only a single door separating the two areas. While much of the facility is integrated, the core assembly area remains closed to external visitors, in line with strict ESG rules that govern access and protect customer products. From the office balcony overlooking the large production hall, the interoperability between teams – and the scale of a growing global leader – is tangible.

“We are honoured to be recognized as a Business Gazelle of 2025. This award is an important moment for our teams and a confirmation that we are consistently pursuing our mission: to help our clients enhance their machines with radio remote controls and ultimately enable the operator to work with them as if it were the easiest, most intuitive thing on earth,” says Tomasz Karaś.

We now look forward to formally celebrating this milestone at the award ceremony in Warsaw this March, together with representatives of the wider business community.
